Description
ELVIS PRESLEY ROCK AND ROLL NUMBER 1, 1957 HMV LP
This is a phenomenally rare record, probably the second rarest of all Elvis' LPs and valued by Record Collector Price Guide at £550. This copy is nowhere near mint condition however. In fact the cover is really pretty tatty and I have provided photos of both sides which give a good indication of the damage. The front cover is torn in two places. The record itself looks only Good or Good+ but actually plays near Ex with no jumps or stuck areas and none of the usual distortion that LPs of this vintage normally display.
Despte the worn condition, this does represent a terrific opportunity to own a super-rare and hugely sought after item, probably for a fraction of the cost of one in better condition - if you could find one.
I am also auctioning Elvis' Rock and Roll Number 2 in similar condition.
