VINYL CONDITION: VERY GOOD TO GOOD
SLEEVE CONDITION: FAIR
I PURCHASED THIS RECORD FROM NEW IN 1957. SOMETIME IN THE 60'S THE RECORD GOT PLACED IN THE WRONG SLEEVE AND I THOUGHT IT HAD BEEN STOLEN. I AM NOW IN THE PROCESS OF SELLING MY RECORD COLLECTION AND CAME ACROSS IT FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 50 YEARS. THE ORIGINAL OUTER SLEEVE IS ONLY IN FAIR CONDITION, HOWEVER, THE VINYL RECORD ITSELF PLAYS VERY GOOD AND I WOULD CONSIDER IT TO BE VERY GOOD TO GOOD CONDITION.
I HAVE DECIDED TO OFFER IT UP FOR SALE BY AUCTION AND STARTING AT A VERY LOW PRICE OF £39.95. CONSIDERING HOW RARE AN ORIGINAL HMV CLP 1093 IS.
WHEN I DECIDED TO SELL MY RECORD COLLECTION, MAINLY 60's AND 70's ALBUMS, I PURCHASED SOME PROFESSIONALLY MADE PACKAGING TO SEND LP RECORDS THROUGH THE POST. ALL MY LPS WILL BE SOLD WITH A PLASTIC OUTER COVER FOR THE ORIGINAL SLEEVE, ALL ENCLOSED WITHIN A SUBSTANTIAL OUTER POSTAL PACKET.
I AM NOT A RECORD DEALER, I AM JUST DISPOSING OF A WELL LOVED & LOOKED AFTER COLLECTION
The seven standard condition categories, and a description of what each one means, are listed below:
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
