ELVIS PRESLEY - 1ST ALBUM 1956 US RCA VICTOR LPM1254
WITHDRAWN 1ST PRESSING WITH RARE TRACK MISCREDIT Track 6 on side 1 titled 'Just Because' has song writing credit 'P.D' (public domain) on this first issue instead of Bob & Joe Sheldon & Sid Robin as featured on later issues. When Bob, Joe & Sid discovered they would receive no royalties - their lawyers cited copyright infringement and subsequent copies were quickly changed - making this issue very desirable.
CONDITION:
COVER - Very clean for its age with excellent edges and corners and very little surface wear to the print (common on 'US' sleeves). Their is a name written in ink on the front cover. Cover is split at the top and bottom edges. Printed in USA.
VINYL - Does not suffer from any nasty scratches that would affect playing. But lots light hairlines & scuffs visible under a strong light. Matrix numbers LP-G2-PP-1282-X / LP-G2-PP-1283-X 'made in Germany'.
LABELS - Clean & readable, very light adhesive mark on side 2, label states 'made in USA'.

The 6th song on side 1 is titled "Just Because". On every record except the very first release the song-writing credits are given to Bob Shelton, Joe Shelton and Sid Robin. The very first release of the album gives the song-writing credit to P.D. - Public Domain.
