A genuine first pressing second run copy.
Note:
All first pressing first run Elvis Presley debut albums list P.D. (Public Domain)
in the song writing credits after the song "Just Because" on the label of Side 1.
All subsequent runs list the names of Bob Shelton, Joe Shelton and Sid Robin.
First pressing covers have "Elvis" in pale pink and "Presley" in pale green - the logo box at top right corner has the same colors and the catalog number.
Second pressings have "Elvis" in pale pink and "Presley" in darker neon green - the logo box at top right corner has the same colors and the catalog number.
Third pressing have "Elvis" in pale pink and "Presley" in darker neon green - black is used in logo box at top right corner catalog number at lower left.
Fourth pressings have "Elvis" in dark red and "Presley" in darker green - black is used in logo box at top right corner catalog number at lower left.
GRADING SCALE:
FACTORY SEALED - Means just that. Still in the original shrink, never opened. May exhibit normal shelf-wear, this can include drill holes, saw marks or cut corners. PLEASE NOTE: that a factory sealed album doesn't necessarily mean mint.
NEAR MINT (NM) Very few, if any imperfections to the cover or the vinyl.
VERY GOOD+ (VG+) Most of the records we sell will fall into this category. May show some slight signs of wear, including light scuffs or very light scratches. May have surface noise between tracks and during the quieter passages of songs that do not affect the overall listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK. May also exhibit marks around the spindle hole. Covers will have minor wear including handling marks, slight ring wear, corner and edge wear and seam splits (less than 1 inch) that may have been repaired.
VERY GOOD (VG) Records in this grade were well loved and well played but not abused. Many of the imperfections found on a VG+ record are more obvious on a VG record. Vinyl will have scratches. Surface noise and some scratches will be audible, especially in soft passages and during a song's intro and ending. But the noise will not overpower the music. Covers will have more obvious marks, ring wear, corner and edge wear. May have split seams that have been repaired with glue or tape. May have writing.
GOOD (G) Records in this grade will show wear and tear. Plays well enough without skipping. I will not sell anything that doesn't play on my turntable.
