ELVIS PRESLEY – SPEEDWAY (LSP-3989) IN SHRINK WRAP WITH SHRINK STICKER AND BONUS PHOTO!

RECORD: VG and retaining much original gloss. However, there are just too many surface scratches and scuffs to warrant the VG+ grade. This Indianapolis pressing was test-played in its entirety and there were no skips or repeats although there were some random “ticks” in some areas. The high fidelity on this first pressing remains strong and remains a pleasure to listen to! The labels are very clean and original with just some light spindle marks on each side that do not distract from the original aesthetics. This Original Soundtrack Recording was released in June of 1968 and includes the hit single, “Let Yourself Go / Your Time Hasn’t Come Yet, Baby”. The matrix numbers on this record end with 2S/1S, respectively.

COVER: NM- with approximately 70% of the original shrink wrap remaining and holding strong. There is a piece of shrink that is missing from the back side, but it did not expose the cover to very much wear at all; this cover remains as clean and original as it was in 1968! A very small amount of wear can be seen at the lower portion of the (front) open end edge. There are absolutely no seam splits, tape, writing or staple holes anywhere on this cover. The Red Shrink Sticker, hyping the Bonus Photo inside of the album remains fully affixed on the front. There is just a small amount of friction wear seen on this sticker. The original “ELVIS’ Great LP Catalog” (40C) Inner Sleeve is included.

BONUS PHOTO: VG++ (EXC) with no tears, creases, tape residue, writing or pin holes! There is just a small amount of record edge impression, some hairline scuffs from the record sleeve being slid across it while inside of the cover as well as some trivial edge and corner tip wear. A very clean and attractive photo!
