I have been in the record collecting / selling business for over 30 years and own a record store that has been doing business for the past 16 years. I try to bring only CLEAN vinyl to the market place and can appreciate a fellow collector's quest for such. LABEL: RCA #5088 mono

COVER CONDITION: STRONG VG+ to VG++. The white of the back has some age shading (light browning). The top seam and the spine are excellent. The bottom seam has a couple of small areas of chipping but nothing serious. Just the faintest hint of light ring around Elvis' waist. Overall a nice cover!

RECORD CONDITION: STRONG VG+. There are a few light scuffs on an otherwise very clean record! No deep scratches. Retains much of its original lustre. I played the record at 1.25 grams tracking weight and it played with excellent fidelity. Some light background noise that would most likely improve with a professional cleaning, but still did not overpower the music in the least. In an effort to be thorough with my description, I will tell you that halfway through the song, "Don't" the needle got 'stuck' in one spot so I cleaned that area and it corrected the problem, and the record played thru the area nicely (I played it 6 more times in that area to satisfy myself that the problem was fixed), with a very faint 'tick'....not a loud pop, just a very faint 'tick'. A real nice example of a hard to find record.

NOTABLES: Extremely RARE original MAROON label pressing of this 1959 'Gold Standard Series', 7" EP. These are becoming impossible to find and this is a fine example with spotless labels!
