Description

ARTIST:  Elvis Presley ("the king")

TITLE: That's All Right/Blue Moon of Kentucky

LABEL: RCA black label 47-6380

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: USA

YEAR: 1955

COVER CONDITION: original company sleeve EX

LABELS: EX no writing, tears or stickers. Very little wear. Lovely.

VINYL CONDITION:  VG light scuffs and marks. One mark on side one looks strange, but doesn't affect play. PLAYS GREAT!! Some crackle, but generally very clear and beautiful. An amazing experience. Respectable copy.

DETAILS: Very rare 1st 45 from Elvis. Rarest label variation with blank black design, and nipper at the top. No silver lines. This was the first RCA 45 ever issued by Elvis, after the initial Sun release. This was not a hit, as Elvis didn't become a star until the next year...1956! Therefore, these are extremely tough to find items. Matrix numbers are machine stamped -1S. 1st press!!!

This 45 was the beginning of rock 'n' roll. One side was black: Arthur "big boy" crudup, and the other side white: Bill Monroe. It was this combination of blues and country that created rockabilly, and eventually launched Elvis to superstardom...although not for another year. Remember- this 45 did NOT sell at the time. Very rare- good luck.
