This is the UK issue of the US RCA Victor 78rpm item 20-7410.  It was issued on 45rpm in the UK, US and elsewhere but the 78 is the rarer of the two single-play speeds of the period as by 1959 most people had abandoned 78s for 45s.  Many 78s were special order only by 1959 in the UK and as a result all 78s from 1959/60 are rarer on 78 than their equivalent 45s.  So, this 78 is very rare indeed.

The 78 comes in a brown paper sleeve, further protected by a card shop cover produced by Thornes of Dewsbury advertising the record brands and equipment makers of the period on the front.

Both labels are free from writing, heavy wear and stickers and are very clean with only minimal spindle wear/signs of use - very nice examples.

The record is close to EXCELLENT condition on the "I Got Stung" side and plays NEAR MINT.  No signs of wear and no scratches at all - just very few extremely light and superficial scuffs from being taken in and out of sleeve and so on.  This side has obviously only seen very light play and although is not perfect/new it is an extremely well looked after example.  I have never seen a better one in all my years of collecting 78s.  PLAYS EXCELLENT!!!

The other side, "One Night" has seen more play than the other side but is still in keeping with a very well looked after record, at least VERY GOOD condition and plays even better than that.  Just more play than the other side and more light markings from more removals and returns to the record's sleeve but that it is all - a great playing side and no scratches or scrapes.  PLAYS FANTASTIC!!!

No chips or cracks anywhere on this 78.

IDEAL FOR ANY 78 PLAYER - NEW HIFI TYPE OR DANSETTE, JUKEBOX OR WHATEVER YOU WANT TO USE.

All round, a superb example of this rare 78 and definitely a keeper-copy that will be very difficult to upgrade unless a mint one turns up...which won't be too often I am sure!! Certainly costly!

This is one of the hardest to find UK Elvis 78s so take advantage of this opportunity to get it.  Check your price guides and you'll see how prized it is.  The RCA ones are especially rare as they are much later issues than the HMV ones.  This 78 is from 1959 and one of the very last 78s by Elvis issued in the UK!! By 1960 all 78s had been discontinued in the US and Europe so this was not on record shop shelves very long!!

Make best use of the low start bid with no reserve...this is priced to sell but is a giveaway at the minimum bid.  A mint/as new example would be worth near to three figures and this one isn't far behind in quality...you may have to wait a long time to see another like this!!

How to pay/postage/shipping details:

I accept Paypal, personal cheques in GBP, postal orders, banker's drafts in GBP from UK bidders and for non-UK bidders I only accept Paypal.

Postage: I will ship anywhere in the world.

UK - FREE for standard Royal Mail delivery.  If item sells for over normal compensation amount I will declare value at correct level and pay for this myself.  I am doing this due to Ebay's new postage policy for UK sales to UK buyers. Proof of postage obtained and sent just as before except I am footing the bill.  Any alternative arrangements can be discussed with buyer at auction end or just ask a question, thanks.

Europe - Will post anywhere in Europe at cost to the buyer.  Any additional compensation/special shipping requirements to be discussed upon auction end with buyer and will invoice accordingly. One 78rpm record in a decent box that is well packed will cost around £9-10 to post to Europe via Airmail.  This is an estimate and accurate price invoiced if required at end of auction.

USA and ROW - Will post to USA and elsewhere at cost to the buyer.  Standard Airmail will be something like £15 for one 78rpm record.  This is an estimate only, an accurate quote can be sought on request. Any additional shipping requirements such as Global Priority can be discussed upon end of auction with the buyer and the buyer will be invoiced by me accordingly.

Proof of postage always obtained.  If item goes astray or is delayed I will assist in any way I can to resolve the matter, although obviously I cannot be held responsible for items missing in transit after I have posted them.

Most ebayers are genuine but I have had problems with a few timewasters recently who did not read the whole advert and refused to pay for goods and/or shipping after the situation was clearly stated in the listing.
