Description
ELVIS' very first record album from 1956. LPM-1254. 1st pressing with the rare P.D. credit on record label** see below.
The cover has NO stickers or writing. Has a little soiling on bottom front, slight shelf wear on back, a small crease on lower left. The record is near mint, a 1st pressing with 1S matrix numbers on both sides, has a few small feather scratches. The words "A "NEW ORTHOPHONIC" HIGH FIDELITY are on right side, not in the center like the reissues. No chips, writing, stickers or warping. Original rice wax paper inner sleeve.
**The first release of this record credited the song writing to the song "Just Because" to P.D. - Public Domain. You can only imagine how surprised the authors were to find they weren't able to get on the gravy train.
The song writing credits were quickly changed on subsequent pressings. The record guides don't mention this fact. But serious record collectors look for this issue.
