Description
ELVIS' very first record album from 1956. LPM-1254. 1st pressing with the rare P.D. credit on record label** see below. The record is a 1st pressing with 1S matrix number, has light scratches. The words "A "NEW ORTHOPHONIC" HIGH FIDELITY are on right side, not in the center like the reissues. No chips, writing, stickers or warping. The cover is beautiful, some light shelf wear, tight seams, no writing, stickers, marks or ring wear. Original inner sleeve.
**The first release of this record credited the song writing to the song "Just Because" to P.D. - Public Domain. You can only imagine how surprised the authors were to find they weren't able to get on the gravy train.
The song writing credits were quickly changed on subsequent pressings. The record guides don't mention this fact. But serious record collectors look for this issue.
