Description
This is another original Elvis Presley album from my personal Elvis collection that I am selling. Its from 1957, and the GATEFOLD cover reads: ELVIS' CHRISTMAS ALBUM, number LOC-1035. The album cover also reads: PLUS AN ALBUM OF NEW FULL COLOR PHOTOS. The binding end reads: LOC-1035 ELVIS' CHRISTMAS ALBUM - ELVIS PRESLEY - LOC 1035. There is no unwanted writing, or stickers on the cover. Not only does the back cover have a full color picture of Elvis, BUT inside, the 10 PAGE album of Elvis pictures is completely in tact. There are no loose, or torn, or missing pages, it is complete. The inside of the cover is also dated 1957. The record is in a BLUE colored ELVIS inner dust sleeve which has ads for Elvis 45 EP's on one side, and LP's on the other side. The record plays very good. It plays through without any skips, nice and clear and clean. There are 12 songs on this album, and the song titles are all listed in the inside. Afew songs included are: "Blue Christmas" - "I'll Be Home For Christmas" - Take My Hand Precious Lord' - "It Is No Secret" - "Peace In The Valley" and more. I have'nt played this album for a long, long time. I played my Elvis records maybe 20 to 25 years ago, I always had a juke box and plenty of records to play, I just never played albums very much. I no longer have a player for any records so I will only do a visual. However I did something which I would advise the collector of today to do also. I always kept a log of the condition of the records in my collection, which today, I am thankfull for having done, because that's how I could tell you exactly how this record plays even today. The vinyl has a couple of lighter scuffs, which I believe are from taking it out of the inner sleeve. There are no scratches, nothing that would even be heard in playing, but of course it needs to be cleaned for sure. The label is clean on side 1, side and side 2 has a small spot which looks to me like it had a sticker on it at one time, and when it was removed it had a paper residue left on it. I never tryed to clean it, I just left it as it was, because it sure did'nt interfere with the playing or value of the album. The black label has the dog on top, and reads LONG PLAY on the bottom.
