Up for auction is this RARE 1958 Elvis Presley album. It is the original soundtrack from "KING CREOLE." (RCA LPM-1884).Not only is this the black label with "Long Play" at the bottom of the label and selection number at the top right corner of the cover...it also is accompanied by an 8x10,black and white photo of Elvis in uniform! Reportedly,this photo did not come packaged inside the album, but was actually given out at random to customers by dealers when they purchased this LP. According to "The Official Price Guide to Records" by Jerry Osborne,this LP is valued at $300.00-$400.00 by itself! However, if this 8x10 promotional photo of Elvis in uniform is with the LP,it almost doubles in value! ( the price guide says to add an additional $250.00-$300.00 if this photo is with the LP. This is the 2002 price guide.)

The cover is in excellent condition. There are a few slight "imperfections". Next to Elvis' chin and through the "I" in "KING" and the "R" in CREOLE,there is a slight "ripple(?)(see pics),for lack of a better word! The very tip of the top right corner of the cover is starting to wear. There is still a nice sheen to the cover.On the back,slight age discoloration at the edges and at the bottom of the back cover is what looks like a small water spot. None of these things are "major" imperfections and are in fact,barely noticable. The inside paper sleeve seems to have been in a war...and lost! (again,see pics). It has a rip that is top to bottom. The bottom seam is completely split. The top is "frayed." BUT...the vinyl is at least VG+,(my opinion). Vinyl still has that "new vinyl sheen" to it and has very few slight "barely hit the surface" scratches! They are hardly visible and do not affect the play what so ever. Overall,this 1958 LP is in great shape! OK...now the Elvis photo. It is an 8x10 black and white of Elvis in his U.S. Army uniform. The picture is in excellent vintage condition. No rips or tears. Lower left says ELVIS PRESLEY. Lower right says Exclusive RCA Victor Recording Artist. On the photo,is "Best Wishes,Elvis Presley." Lower left side(edge) it says,All Rights Reserved "ALL STAR SHOWS." On the lower right side edge it says, Moss Photo Service, INC., 350 W. 50th St. New York, 19 N.Y.

That about sums it up. This is the "ultimate" find for any Elvis Presley fan!
