You are bidding on a very rare Elvis NOVELTY Promo Sleeve and with records from 1956. The original promo sleeve are almost impossible to find and cost anywhere from $3000 to $3500. Its the 1956 Elvis-"The MOST TALKED ABOUT PERSONALITY" sleeve with both records. Their is a story behind the sleeve. I purchased this from a nice fellow from Spain and he told me the story and I confirmed it by contacting them. It was purchased from Burning records who purchased it from Jerry Osbourne who publishes the Elvis Presleyana record guide. Jerry said he was able to obtain the paper promo sleeve back in 1970s but it was in poor shape and professionally cut the front off and applied the paper sleeve to the front of the 2 record folder and attach the back page to the back of the folder and type the songs on it. When I purchase this auction, I thought it was a genuine promo sleeve, but I was told recently it is not real but a professional novelty sleeve. Knowing a original promo sleeve is worth so much and almost impossible to find, so heres your chance to ever own one of these custom made novelty sleeve with cardboard folder, its a very dark green and looks great. On the records , on side 2 -their is a small hairline crack at rim of record and the first song is one sided love affair and barely interupts the song and all the songs plays through on each side. I grade the records as VG and if it wasnt for that hairline crack it would have been VG+. Winner pays for shipping. Good Luck!
