 Super Rare SUN Original 78rpm Shellac Pressing from 'ERR'! The Hillbilly Kat's Fourth SUN release... Elvis Presley, Scotty & Bill... "Baby Let's Play House / I'm Left, You're Right, She's Gone", SUN #217! Even tho Sam Phillips intended the Country track, I'm Left, You're Right, She's Gone to be the A-side (U-142). We're listing the A-side as what would become the Rock-A-Billy Classic true A-side, Baby Let's Play House (U-143). SUN Rarity in above average, VG/EX condition! VG Shellac still retains a nice gloss. Considering age & material, normal scuffs & wear. No chips, deep scratches, or skips. Both sides play through perfectly. EX Labels, clean & crisp color & print with minor B-side spindle hole wear. Please note "WJZ" stamp on A-side. "WJZ" was one of the very first radio stations to play Rock & Roll in America! "WJZ" broadcasted from Boston-to-Baltimore. Including NYC, where this bad boy was eventually obtained & Philadelphia, PA, were it was pressed! Yes! Pressed in Phili., PA.! Read on...

I'm Left, You're Right, She's Gone Side Hand-etched Matrix: U-142 / Baby Lets Play House Side Hand-etched Matrix: U-143-2 Baby Let's Play House Side Machine-stamped: "M. S. I. CO." (see picture.), meaning it was pressed for Sam Phillips SUN label in Phili., PA. (not in Memphis, TN.). From the SUN Records website; (http://www.706unionavenue.nl/68811859); "Sam Phillips of Sun Records used three different record plants to press his records; 1) Plastic Product of Memphis, TN. for states in the South and Midwest. 2) Sam Hodge's Paramount Record Manufacturing and M.S.I. Company in Philadelphia, PA. for the East Coast. M.S.I. Company was a Philadelphia pressing plant used for overflow orders from Sun. Sam Phillips used M.S.I. for many pressings in the Later 1950's. 3) Monarch in Los Angeles, CA., for the West Coast."

In addition, "Presleyana 8" & "ElvisRecords.com" states The King's 5th & Final SUN release, "Mystery Train / I Forgot To Remember To Forgot" #223, as being the Only Elvis SUN release to of had this matrix on sparse pressings...Until Now! It has also been well documented that Sam Phillips did not start commissioning outside pressing plants until The Hillbilly Kat's 5th & final SUN release, #223 Mystery Train / I Forgot To Remember To Forget. Reportedly, this was done due to supply & demand as Mystery Train was The King's 1st nationally charted record. 60+ years later, this Gem disproves that!
