Listed here with NO RESERVE is this copy of Elvis Presley's first UK album. This is the album that started it all and would change the music industry forever.

This is by no means a perfect example of it, but it is a wonderful collection filler until the mint thing comes along.

Let us not forget, this is 56 years old. The cover shows this, but is also still nice. It has heavy wear and scuffing on the corners and edges, and at some point in its life someone have taped along the edges and opening, even though it did not need this, but this has NOT discoloured in any way. There is a large tear in the front which has also been taped by non-discolouring tape (see pictures). Otherwise the top has a 2 inch split from the opening but the cover is still sturdy.

The back has all of the flipback firmly stuck down in its original form and does have laminate lifting and peeling, but this is still a nice example - this has been left as it is and could no doubt be tidied up by a collector. The bottom right has the WRW text.

The inner sleeve is the original.

The vinyl is still very nice. Firstly, the matrix numbers are 2XAV 255 1N / 2XAV 256 1N

There are several noticable marks, and I do not have the facility to play this but having been a private collector for a while I know this will play through. Side 1 track 1 has a mark on it, and there are 3 or 4 other light scratches on the same side. But nothing too heavy or that would make it skip. Side 2 is the same with a noticable mark on the final track. Overall, not a perfect copy, one that has been well appreciated in the 56 years, but also a nice collectors piece.

THIS WOULD MAKE A SUITABLE COLLECTION FILLER UNTIL THE MINT ONE COMES ALONG.
