EMBRYO - EMBRYO'S RACHE - KRAUTROCK / JAZZ ROCK - NEW

Tracklist

Tausendfüßler 5:23 Time (8:47) I Can't Wait Eva's Wolke Revenge 6:45 Espagna Si, Franco No 10:57 Sittin' At The Moon 2:08 Verwandlung 6:32
Released a year after Embryo's debut, Opal, Rache is a much better-packed record with less meddling around that was my only problem with the former album.

The band created a longer (40 minutes vs 34) but simultaneously more enjoyable album, packing it with great chill tunes (e.g. Tausendfussler), heavy hitting menacing riffs (Espagna Si, Franco No) and even some infectious choruses (Time I: I Can't Wait). Some intense climaxes are also present, which seems to be a must for a jazzy record (present in Espagna, Revenge and Verwandlung).

As mentioned before, this is the band in its transitional period and Rache might be one of their more straight-to-the-point albums, unlike many of their jazz jams and improv albums. Very fitting inclusion of vocals, tight performance that still makes way for some completely ecstatic solos make this album a small revolution for Embryo and a great jazzy kraut album.
