Description

I am offering for sale a brand new copy of Soft Machine - "Land of Cockayne" on EMI EMC 3348, a UK import LP issued in 1981. This was the final LP for Soft Machine. Soft Macine toured with Jimi Hendrix on one of his early tours. Their albums were progressively more jazz influenced. Well known members of the band include Robert Wyatt and Kevin Ayers. They were not on this LP. However. Jack Bruce joined for this LP. 
This LP is brand new, never opened. It is not sealed in shrink wrap, but rather enclosed in a plastic outer sleeve and stapled shut by either the retailer or the distributor. At the time, not all UK import LP's were sealed. There is a "made in England" sticker on the back cover. This sticker could be removed with lighter fluid. There was a requirement at the time to identify the country of origin for import LP's.
