This is one of a number of vinyl records from the 1950’s & 60’s listed this week which we no longer listen to. Little played, the records are still in very good condition, the covers sometimes less so.   Gradings are based on the “Record Collector Magazine's Guide” set out in the eBay Guides together with notes about condition added. Extracts from the Gramophone Magazine review written at the time of the record’s release are included where these are available.   RECORD GRADING EXCELLENT The records in the set, until now, have probably never been played. There are no marks, hairlines or anything untoward on them. Having listened to the first disc I am now almost certain it has been played only once. There is a little dust, but very little indeed. It is a beautiful record to listen to. The second and third discs, visually,  are in the same condition and I have no doubt will sound just as good. Unless it is in its original shrink-wrap I would shy away from grading a record as mint, but I suspect that is the grade many would give to these discs.   COVER GRADING VERY GOOD Whilst the box is structurally sound, the edges are marked with some quite heavy scuffing, particularly on the bottom edge. The front face, however, is undamaged and unmarked as, too, is the insert.   I have no wish for you to be disappointed by your purchase. If you think the grading/description was unfair or unreasonable when you receive the record, you may return it and you will have a full refund of all that you have paid me.   All I require is that you contact me within 7 days of its receipt to tell me you intend to return it, and that I receive the record in the same condition as it was when it was sent to you.   MINT Record       In brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality Cover         In perfect condition, as are extra items such as thelyric sheet, booklet or poster   EXCELLENT Record       Shows signs of having been played, but with very little lessening in sound quality Cover         Slight wear and / or creasing to the cover or its contents   VERY GOOD Record       Obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch Cover         Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects   GOOD Record       Played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, and there may be some distortion and mild scratches Cover         Suffers from folding, scuffed edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
