Original Continental pressing - 1950 - A piece of history!
The great composer is playing Bach Sonatas and Partitas on violin.
ABSOLUTE RARITY 3 LP's BOX SET recorded & pressed in USA 1950 - Deep Groove CONTINENTAL label on Very Thick, Rigid, Heavy Vinyl.
GEORGE ENESCU plays Bach Sonatas and Partitas on violin:

SONATA No. 1 in G Minor + PARTITA No. 3 in E Major
DISC No. 2 :
SONATA No. 3 in C Major + PARTITA No. 1 in B Minor
DISC No. 3 :
SONATA NO. 2 in A Minor + PARTITA No. 2 in D Minor
This release is known as "The Romanian Release " ENESCU was born in Romania and he insisted that anything he was releasing in other countries to be released also in Romania. There were sent a number of Continental Box Sets to Romania but in 1950, when Romania was a communist country under a very strict political regime. They could not sell anything in stores with american printing on the cover so they changed the cover, with this blank one and Continental - USA appears only on the inside of the Box. To my knowledge none of the boxsets was sold in music stores. The key members of the communist regime took them as gifts that prove that they are cultural people :)
