Eld'' is the name of the 3rd studio full lenght album by the 3 Northmen of ENSLAVED from 1997. After they presenting a double pack in 1994 with ''Vikingligr Veldi'' and ''Frost'', so ENSLAVED find difficult to present the successor that satisfies the band. And so ''Eld'' is released only after three long years of waiting. Stylistically, the Norwegians orientate themselves on the previous album, so they are still clearly at home with black metal frenzy and speed and less in progressive realms. But "Eld" is a pure example of the maturity and technical perfection that black metal had to offer at that time. And by the way, this album convinces with a powerful and, above all, authentic atmosphere that is unparalleled. In terms of production, there are no complaints to be made, as all the songs have been given exactly the sound that suits them. If you want something to do with Viking/Black Metal, get this piece and you will be deliciously rewarded. Here is the chic 2021s re-issue pressed on black double vinyl, limited to only 200 copies in a gatefold cover with bronze hotfoil stamping.
