DESCRIPTION

A superb ‘promo’ pressing of this mini-album from the legendary ‘Weddings Parties Anything’ …one of their early releases with the original line-up that features the very scarce “live” recording of ‘Sergeant Small’.

Renowned for their energetic live shows ‘The Weddos’ were a combination of Australian indie and garage rock, sixties folk, punk and (later) country. Often compared to The Pogues, the band were a combination of Australian indie and garage rock, sixties folk, punk and (later) country and are usually described as being a ‘folk rock’ band.

Never really a commercial success the band sustained itself on constant touring which developed a massive cult following often breaking house attendance figures on any given night which was no mean feat given that their audiences were close to a mainstream rock crowd.

"Laughing Boy" (taken from the band's second album ‘Roaring Days’) is a cover of Paul Kelly's Brendan Behan tribute while "Sergeant Small" is a live recording of Australian country music legend, Tex Morton's song and one of the few live recordings ever made by the band.
The other 2 tracks here are unique to this release as well.

An extremely hard to find item for fans and collectors.
