Description
ERIC BURDON & THE ANIMALS/TWAIN SHALL MEET/MGM LP/1st PRESS MONO/EARLY STAMPERS
Eric Burdon & The Animals – The Twain Shall MeetThe Animals were an English band of the 1960s, formed in Newcastle upon Tyne during the early part of the decade. They underwent numerous personnel changes in the mid-1960s and suffered from poor business management. Under the name Eric Burdon and the Animals, the much-changed act moved to California and achieved commercial success as a psychedelic and hard rock band with hits like "San Franciscan Nights", "When I Was Young" and "Sky Pilot", before disbanding at the end of the decade.
This is the original UK mono press with very early stampers! Judging by the spindle marks this record appears to have been played many times and it does have a few noticeable marks and plays with some light background crackle here and there, but nothing that spoils your enjoyment of the music, it still sounds great!
Side One: Monterey; Just The Thought; Closer To The Truth; No Self Pity; Orange And Red Beams.
Side Two: Sky Pilot; We Love You Lil; All Is One.
The album is on MGM Records, MGM C 8074. Matrix side one: MG 1364-1 Mother 1 Stamper M (stamped). Matrix side two: MG 1365-1 Mother 1 Stamper R (stamped).
1968. UK pressing. Mono.
Condition: (as Record Collector’s grading system)
Vinyl side 1: good (has a few noticeable marks and plays with the odd click/pop and a bit of light backround crackle here and there but nothing that spoils your enjoyment of the music, it still a great listen!, plays with no sticks or skips).
Vinyl side 2: very good (has a few noticeable marks and plays with a bit of light backround crackle here and there but nothing that spoils your enjoyment of the music, it still a great listen!, plays with no sticks or skips).
Cover (outer laminated, flipback): very good (small tear near the bottom of opening edge, a few laminate creases).
I have tried to give my honest opinion as to the condition. I will give a complete refund to the buyer if they are not happy with the record.
Any questions, don’t hesitate to ask.

RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM:
MINT: I very rarely use the mint grade. Only records that are still sealed or records that even under the strongest of lights are completely unmarked. Also covers that are unmarked/uncreased in any way and still look brand new.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is no lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler. Payment strictly by PayPal only. Postal discounts available for multiple purchases - Please email for details. 521 (GS 6.6.1 (521))
