Eric Burdon declares 'War'. The first of two original albums by Eric Burdon featuring the electric band War was released in April 1970. Become soon a classic into the psychedelic blues genre, the album was produced as usual - when we talk about War - by Jerry Goldstein and was out on MGM Records. 'The Vision of Rassan' it's a song in the typical rhythm and blues style, 'Tobacco Road', probably the best song of the album, is a long psychedelic blues in the perfect style of the complex, 'Blues for Memphis Slim' reprises some elements typical of Isaac Hayes or Marvin Gaye. The album received a gold record award. The back cover includes the declaration, 'We the People, have declared War against the People, for the right to love each other.' Take the message.

(b)          The record is  apparently pressed on a beautiful, thick, inflexible vinyl, which was usually used for the first or very early pressings. Usually, the sound on such thick vinyl pressings is full-bodied, vivid, and even dramatic. Do not expect to obtain such a majestic analog sound from a digital recording!

(c)           The record is believed to come in its original stock inner sleeve.

(d)          Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!

The following flaws or imperfections are noted on the cover:

-        Cover has JUST A HINT of ring wear (nothing significant); On the scale from 1 to 10 (1 being the least, and  10 being the most severe), we assess the severity of ring wear as 1.

-        Cover has a visible "wrinkle"(crease)  in one of the corners.

-        Cover has two corners slightly worn / dinged  (nothing significant)
