I'm going to go out on a giant limb here and say this is Eric Burdon and War's best, most coherent album. Even though it's technically just a set of outtakes. I dunno why. There's a boatload less dragging going on here (well, apart from A Day in Life), and they sound tighter here than on either of the other two. I'm not a huge fan of poetry and flute solos, and Eric Burdon and War's first two albums struck me as piles of poetry and flute solos. This has an edge.

Produced as usual by Jerry Goldstein, this album was released in 1976, but it contains tracks recorded from 1969 to 1971. Only two tracks had been released previously, 'Magic Mountain' and 'Home Dream' (on the album 'Guilty' by Eric Burdon and Jimmy Whiterspoon), while 'Tobacco Road' is a shorter version of the John D. Loudermilk that appeared on 'Eric Burdon Declares 'War''. The album contains also two cover of 'A Day In Life' by The Beatles and The Rolling Stones' 'Paint It Black', but to be honest these two aren't the best moments of the album. Much more interesting are the others four tracks in which Burdon excels because of his great vocal performances.
