Eric Clapton's Rainbow Concert is a live album by English musician Eric Clapton, recorded at London's Rainbow Theatre on January 13, 1973 and released in September that year. The concert was organized by Pete Townshend from the Who and marked a comeback by Clapton after two years, broken only by his performance at the Concert for Bangladesh in August 1971. Along with Townshend, the musicians supporting Clapton include Steve Winwood, Ronnie Wood and Jim Capaldi. In the year following the two shows at the Rainbow, Clapton recorded 461 Ocean Boulevard (1974).

This concert is the first live performance where Clapton used his famous Stratocaster guitar "Blackie." The Rainbow concert is a historic recording, the music is rich and rockin' in its make up. The addition of Pete Townshend, Ronnie Wood and Steve Winwood bring out the best in Clapton. The album includes "Badge," "After Midnight" and Jimi Hendrix's "Little Wing" with Steve Winwood taking lead vocals on Blind Faith's "Presence of the Lord" and "Pearly Queen."

Eric Clapton: Life in 12 Bars Soundtrack LIMITED EDITION 4LP BOX SET

4LP Soundtrack Features Muddy Waters, Aretha Franklin, The Beatles & More!

The complementary Original Soundtrack to the Eric Clapton documentary, Life In 12 Bars is released as a 4LP set. From Showtime Documentary Films and directed by Oscar-winner, Lili Fini Zanuck, the film takes an unflinching and deeply personal look into the life of the legendary 18-time Grammy Award winning guitarist and multi-million selling recording artist.

The OST 4-LP set comprises 32 tracks spanning Clapton's long and illustrious career. It includes tracks by The Yardbirds, John Mayall's Bluesbreakers, Cream, Blind Faith, Derek and the Dominos, The Beatles, Aretha Franklin, Muddy Waters and Clapton's solo work.

Of the 32 featured there are five previously unreleased tracks:
From the Cream era there is a version of Spoonful, an incredible 17-minute tour-de-force, recorded live at the LA Forum in October 1968 during the group's final US, Goodbye tour. There are two from Derek and The Dominos – firstly a recording of High, originally recorded during the 1971 sessions at Olympic Studios for their unreleased 2nd album. This track was later revisited and re-recorded for Eric Clapton's 1975 album, There's One In Every Crowd. Secondly, the track Little Wing, a tribute to Jimi Hendrix, recorded live during the Domino's late set at The Fillmore East on October 24th, 1970. Finally, there are two previously unreleased Eric Clapton tracks from 1974; the first ever release of the entire full-length recording of the international hit version of Bob Marley's I Shot The Sheriff, recorded during the sessions for 461 Ocean Boulevard and a live performance of Little Queenie, the Chuck Berry rock 'n' roll classic, recorded at Long Beach Arena, California in July 1974 during Clapton's comeback tour to promote 461 Ocean Boulevard.

In addition, there are two alternative mixes made for Eric Clapton's 1970 debut album. Separate mixes were made for the album, by Delaney Bramlett and Tom Dowd (in LA) and also by Clapton himself (in London). Featured in this collection are Clapton's rare mixes of album highlights, After Midnight and Let It Rain.

Eric Clapton Eric Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festival 2019 6LP Box Set

2019 Festival Performances On 6LP!

Featuring Jeff Beck, Gary Clark Jr., Peter Frampton, Vince Gill, Buddy Guy, Sheryl Crow, Bonnie Raitt & More!

Eric Clapton, one of the world's pre-eminent blues/rock guitarists, once again summoned an all-star team of six-string heroes for his fifth Crossroads Guitar Festival in 2019. Held at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas, the two-day concert event raised funds for the Crossroads Centre in Antigua, the chemical dependency treatment and education facility that Clapton founded in 1998.

Following a six-year hiatus, the festival returned reenergized with outstanding performances by Clapton, James Bay, Jeff Beck, Doyle Bramhall II, Gary Clark Jr., Robert Cray, Sheryl Crow, Andy Fairweather Low, Peter Frampton, Vince Gill, Buddy Guy, Sonny Landreth, Lianne La Havas, Los Lobos, John Mayer, Keb' Mo', Bonnie Raitt, Robert Randolph, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Jimmie Vaughan and more.

Throughout the show, Clapton shared the stage with others to perform some of his best-known songs, including "Layla" with John Mayer, plus acoustic versions of "Wonderful Tonight" and "Lay Down Sally" with Andy Fairweather Low. Clapton also paid tribute to his late friend George Harrison with a searing rendition of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" with Peter Frampton.

The Crossroads lineup offered an impressive mix of performers, with legends like Bonnie Raitt, James Burton, Robert Cray, and Jeff Beck (whose outstanding cover of The Beach Boys' "Caroline, No" was a festival high point); contemporary stars Gary Clark Jr., Robert Randolph and Sheryl Crow; as well as rising talents The Marcus King Band, Tom Misch, and Lianne La Havas.

Naturally, the on-stage collaborations provided some of the most compelling moments. Highlights include a cover of The Stooges' "I Wanna Be Your Dog" by Doyle Bramhall II, Susan Tedeschi, Derek Trucks, Jim Keltner and Bill Murray; Buddy Guy and Johnny Lang ripping through Guy's classic "Cognac"; and a version of the Merle Haggard hit "Tonight The Bottle Let Me Down" by Vince Gill, Albert Lee, Bradley Walker and dobro master Jerry Douglas. For the encore, Clapton returned to the stage to lead ensemble performances of Prince's "Purple Rain" and Joe Cocker's "High Time We Went".

The first Crossroads Benefit Concert took place in 1999 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The Crossroads Guitar Festival made its debut in 2004 at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas. That sold-out show was chronicled in a two-disc DVD that has since gone on to become one of the world's top-selling music DVDs, achieving the 10x platinum mark in the United States alone. The subsequent DVD sets met similar acclaim. The 2007 collection was certified 6x platinum; the 2010 set was certified 3x platinum; and the 2013 set was certified platinum. Since 2004, The Crossroads Guitar Festival has been held every three years except in 2016.

The festival was also the launch pad for the global 'Turn Up For Recovery' movement, which is helping bring awareness of abstinence based recovery and raise funds to provide treatment at Crossroads for those in need.

Eric Clapton Live in San Diego with Special Guest J.J. Cale  TRIPLE LP SET

Classic 2007 Concert Released on 3LP Set! Five Songs with Guest Artist JJ Cale!
Includes Clapton Favorites "Layla," "Tell The Truth," "Wonderful Tonight" & "Crossroads!"

Recorded at Clapton’s March 15, 2007 performance at the iPayOne Center in San Diego, CA, this concert was part of a world tour that was much loved by Clapton fans and featured a stellar band that included guitarists Derek Trucks (now of the Tedeschi Trucks band) and Doyle Bramhall II. The two-hour San Diego concert was a highlight of the tour as it featured JJ Cale as a special guest on five tracks (including “After Midnight” and “Cocaine”), as well as Robert Cray on the final song of the record, “Crossroads.”

After successfully covering several JJ Cale songs over his career, Clapton finally collaborated with Cale in 2006 on the original album Road to Escondido. At the time, Clapton said “This is the realization of what may have been my last ambition, to work with the man whose music has inspired me for as long as I can remember.” So it is fitting that one year later, Cale joined Clapton on stage for this special concert where they performed five songs together - underlining the mutual respect the two musicians had for each other.

The concert features a superb set list from across Eric’s career. Notably, it includes songs from Eric’s classic Derek and the Dominos album Layla, with Derek Trucks playing many of Duane Allman’s original guitar parts.

Clapton’s career, spanning more than 50 years, has resulted in 18 Grammy Awards and the distinct honor of being the only triple inductee into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Eric Clapton Unplugged 180g 2LP Never Before Released in the U.S. On Vinyl! Now Available on Two 180g Vinyl LPs!

Eric Clapton's Unplugged was responsible for making acoustic-based music, and "unplugged" albums in particular, a hot trend in the early 90s. Clapton's concert was not only one of the finest Unplugged episodes, but was also some of the most genuine, heartfelt music the guitarist has ever committed to tape. The album sold more than 10 million copies in the U.S. and won several Grammy Awards, including "Album Of The Year."

"We just took this classic Clapton album for a spin... WOW!!! The sound was phenomenal, tight deep bass, great depth of soundstage, smooth rich tone and spine tingling dynamics! There is a reason WEA cut this album on Four Full Sides just like their killer reissue of Brothers in Arms!" - Bob Bantz,

By the time Eric Clapton launched his solo career with the release of his self-titled debut album in mid-1970, he was long established as one of the world's major rock stars due to his group affiliations -- the Yardbirds, John Mayall's Bluesbreakers, Cream, and Blind Faith -- which had demonstrated his claim to being the best rock guitarist of his generation.

Clapton has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a solo performer and as a member of the bands Yardbirds and Cream. He is the only person ever to be inducted three times. In his 40-year-plus career, Eric Clapton has received a total of 18 Grammys.

The number one 1992 album which garnered six Grammy Awards including Album of the Year and Best Rock Male Vocal Performance as well as Song of the Year "Tears In Heaven", Record of the Year "Tears In Heaven", Best Male Pop Vocal Performance "Tears In Heaven" and Best Rock Song "Layla". 18 Previously Unreleased Live Performances on Double LP!

Remixed from the Original Multi-Track Recordings by Simon Climie!

Eric Clapton's lifelong passion for the blues burns brightly in Nothing but the Blues. The 2LP features 18 previously unreleased live performances recorded in 1994 during the legendary guitarist's tour supporting From the Cradle, his Grammy-winning, multi-platinum blues album. Clapton's longtime co-producer, Simon Climie, has remixed the audio from those performances from the original multi-track recordings.

The previously unreleased live performances on Nothing but the Blues serve as a vital counterpart to From the Cradle, which was recorded in the studio. While several songs appear on both ("Motherless Child," "Standin' Round Crying," and "I'm Tore Down"), the performances are entirely different. The release also includes songs that did not appear on From the Cradle, including Jimmy Rogers' "Blues All Day Long" and Robert Johnson's "Malted Milk Blues," as well as the standards "Everyday I Have the Blues" and "Forty-Four."

Rolling Stone 2015 Readers' Poll: The 10 Best Jam Bands: Cream Rated 4th!

Features:

• 180g Virgin Vinyl LP
• Gatefold Jacket

For completists everywhere it gives us great pleasure to complete the Cream catalogue with what was essentially their last album. Following hot on the heels of "Disraeli Gears", "Fresh Cream", and the double "Wheels Of Fire", Cream’s final offering was a compilation of some of their greatest moments. "Goodbye" not only features Eric Clapton, Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker actually smiling on the cover but also shows ‘em dressed up in some rather snazzy suits complete with hats and walking sticks - a far cry from the serious image they generally portrayed. The actual album is brilliant of course, containing such stalwarts as "I’m So Glad", "Politician", "Sitting On Top Of The World" and "Badge" plus a couple of newer tracks in "Doing That Scrapyard Thing" and "What A Bringdown". "Goodbye" is about as good a way of bowing out than the usual method of a group either imploding or playing reunion tours ad infinitum!

1. I’m So Glad
2. Politician
3. Sitting On Top Of The World

Cream Wheels of Fire 180 GRAM OUT OF PRINT PRESSING

180g Vinyl Double LP Reissue!

Rolling Stone 500 Greatest Albums of All Time - Rated 205/500!

Rolling Stone 2015 Readers' Poll: The 10 Best Jam Bands: Cream Rated 4th!

Wheels of Fire is a 1968 double album by the British rock band Cream, consisting of a studio and a live record. It reached #3 in the United Kingdom and #1 in the United States, becoming the first platinum-selling double album. It was ranked number 205 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.

This British rock supergroup was formed in 1966 and their sound was characterized by a hybrid of blues rock, hard rock, and bourgeoning psychedelic rock as performed by Eric Clapton's innovative blues guitar, Jack Bruce's operatic voice and fluid bass playing, and Ginger Baker's jazz-influenced drumming. Cream soon evolved further, creating a trademark approach built around each musician's virtuoso playing. The band's imaginative lyrics were often written by poet Pete Brown.

"...Wheels of Fire finds the trio in full fight, capturing every side of their multi-faceted personality...in many ways Wheels of Fire is indeed filled with Cream's very best work, since it also captures the fury and invention (and indulgence) of the band at its peak on the stage and in the studio." -Stephen Thomas Erlewine, allmusic.

Selections from Cream's 2005 Reunion Tour on Three 180g Audiophile LPs!

Rolling Stone 2015 Readers' Poll: The 10 Best Jam Bands: Cream Rated 4th!

Iconic Classic Rock heroes Jack Bruce, Eric Clapton and Ginger Baker teamed up in 2005 for a short string of Cream reunion shows in the UK's finest concert hall, Royal Albert Hall. After their late '60s split, the band had not been playing together, except for a one-off 1993 gig at their induction to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Cream had not only remained a legendary band, but at the time it seemed extremely unlikely that they would ever play live again. Therefore these live recordings are a heaven's send to Rock fans all over the world, those who are eager to hear these monsters of Rock back in action. And many fans and critics agreed that the band sounded better than before. A worthy coda to their brief but impactful career.
