ORIGINAL UK RSO (2394 116 SUPER) FIRST PRESSING (September 1973) OF ERIC CLAPTON'S LIVE PERFORMANCE AT LONDON'S RAINBOW THEATRE IN JANUARY 1973 WITH AN ALL-STAR LINE-UP INCLUDING PETE TOWNSHEND, STEVE WINWOOD, RICK GRECH, JIM CAPALDI AND RONNIE WOOD
THE RECORD IS UNPLAYED (apart from my one careful play-grading) AND IS IN MINT CONDITION
PRESSED WITH THE FIRST RSO LABELS (with "MADE IN ENGLAND and "MARKETED BY POLYDOR" STATEMENTS)
MATRIX: 2394116 A//1 11 3 / 2394116 B//1 11 7 (etched "KIP")
THE RECORD IS HOUSED IN THE ORIGINAL MATT GATEFOLD SLEEVE "Printed and made by the E. J. Day Group, London and Bedford”
AND COMES COMPLETE WITH THE ORIGINAL POLYDOR POLY-LINED INNER SLEEVE
By January 1973, Eric Clapton's career was going great guns as the result of compilations like History of Eric Clapton; the only problem was that Clapton himself was nursing a heroin addiction and hadn't been heard from since his August 1971 appearance at the concert for Bangladesh.
The Who's Pete Townshend enticed Clapton out for another one-off concert appearance (in fact, there were two shows) at the Rainbow Theatre in London on January 13, 1973, and organised an all-star band to back him.
It was an ensemble effort, as much a showcase for Steve Winwood -- who sang lead vocals on "Presence of the Lord" and Traffic's "Pearly Queen" -- as for Clapton himself

LABELS: The labels are clean, fresh and unmarked with no spindles or signs of use - MINT
VINYL Visual: The vinyl surfaces retain their original deep, like-new glossy sheen and are completely unmarked - MINT
VINYL Audio: Outstanding audio delivery with a crystal clear, deep, rich and warm sound - tremendously atmospheric live recording. On playback at a loud volume there are no audio issues of note - it plays beautifully and cleanly throughout in keeping with its unplayed status - MINT audio
SLEEVE: The EJ DAY matt gatefold cover is clean, sharp and factory fresh with just one light crease to the spine - NEAR MINT
and the original Polydor inner is EXCELLENT++ with no splits, just some age-related discolouration to the edges
