Description

This album is one of the great masterpieces of violin from the Golden Age, around 1956-1966--the original Hi-Fi era, and the time of the earliest and best stereo records. This one is an absolutely gorgeous collection of Baroque sonatas by Vivaldi, Tartini, Perfolesi, and the rarely recorded Nardini, all played by the wonderfully glorious Erica Morini, one of the true greats of this time. Many collectors even maintain that this is one of the very first truly great recordings of baroque music ever made. Well, it is certainly breathtaking...


...and this copy is ABSOLUTELY MINT. Still in the original shrink and probably barely played if ever at all. Well, now it has been played at least once, because I couldn't resist playing it and having the unmatched experience of hearing this glorious recording in all its magnificence on a MINT copy. There is nothing like it. Really this is an experience you are getting, not just a trophy of a rare record.


Anyhow this is the rare stereo version on original gold-label Decca, with the original inner sleeve. The only flaw, if you can even call it a flaw, is a cutout hole at the top right corner. Other than that, perfect. You can't possibly find a better copy. Beautiful.
