ERROL PARKER – My Own Bag No. 3 (1975) Sahara-1003 – VG+/EX (cover/vinyl)

One of the top funk jazz obscurities I’ve ever heard. Errol was a multi-talented musician from New York, and here he plays piano and congas joined by Bruce Johnson on bass, Ray Mantilla on congas and percussion, Clyde Lucas on drums, and Lady Tee on flute. And what emerges is just killer, deep and beaty funk jazz. The intro track, “Street Ends,” is just a total monster with some of the most killer drums and beats you’ve ever heard. The whole thing is deep. Other tracks are “Rehearsal,” “Daydream ant Noon,” “Blue Moon,” and “I’m in the Mood for Love.” His best one I think!

This is a clean copy. The cover has light wear and as seam split across the top seam entirely. It is nice otherwise. The vinyl is super clean and glossy and has only insignificant sleeve scuffs – very nice! I grade this conservatively: VG+/EX (cover/vinyl).
