.....one of the most incredible "free-jazz" recordings ever made--intense energy, with searing, raw emotions sandwiching incredibly sweet, beautiful melodies. The entire album (both sides) is a single piece, "One for the Trane," a tribute to John Coltrane. The two-trombone sound of Roswell Rudd and Grachan Moncur provides unique sound textures as they join Shepp, Jimmy Garrison, and Beaver Harris in a mind-blowing performance.
