ETTA JAMES - AT LAST - ARGO-4003 STEREO | LPS-4300 | U-10517 | LO8Y-4453 | VERY GOOD
This record was listed and sold about 2 weeks ago, then returned. The purchaser was very kind in his comments to me regarding my grading. And in retrospect, I can see his points. So, please review the information below. 
My challenge in grading this recording was that it is such a wonderful piece of music history, and, I felt that a little noise made it more period authentic. 
So I have downgraded the rating from Excellent to Very Good and will list it at auction, letting the market determine the value.


Condition:
THE JACKET ~

  • Shows some shelf and storage wear. The bottom seam, right side, has a small split of 1 1/2 inches. Wear shows the most on the record opening side.
  • Shows minor ring wear on the front and a bit more on the back cover.
  • The spine is terrific.
  • The color and gloss on the front cover is amazing. Could use a little gentle cleaning.
  • The back cover shows ageing discoloration to the white background. The type face is very good and clear.
  • No writing front or back.
  • The corners show minor shelving wear.

THE SLEEVE ~ Original sleeve was missing. I have added a generic white sleeve.

 "RARE" is an over and mis-used word here on eBay. But in the case of ETTA JAMES "AT LAST", RARE is the PERFECT word. This is a wonderful listen, even with some noise and an amazing addition to any record collection.

Disclaimers:
  • Some of the photos of the record are over-exposed to best show the record grooves. The reflections and flares are from the studio light and are not in the record. The dust specks really show up when the exposure is pushed. 
  • Limited scratching and visible groove wear on both sides due to play. During the test, the album played on my system without skipping, and surface noise was minimal.
