Description

Evelyn Collins with George Dawson's Chocolateers Paradise 112 I'm So Right Tonight / Mid-Semester Blues
See photos for condition.   The record has plenty of remaining gloss, some scuffs, scratches consistent with its age.  The pressing is very solid, on heavy, thick shellac. Note: The a-side / b-side labels were flipped during manufacture (so, 'Mid-Semester Blues' plays on the 'I'm So Right Tonight' side and vice-versa).
Paradise Recording Co. was a Detroit label that produced jazz and R & B artists in the late 40's / early 50's.  Evelyn Collins was such a tremendous vocalist! The accompaniment by George Dawson's Chocolateers is great. The record has a beautifully rich sound, possibly due to better-than-average studio engineering. Check it out: This record has only been auctioned once in recent years.  It's a phenomenal recording on a seldom seen label. Don't miss it!
