Description
I am offering a sealed copy of Everest/DCC LPZ-1002, Leopold Stokowski conducting Richard Strauss. Selections are Till Eulenspiegel's Merry Pranks, Don Juan, and Salome: Dance of the 7 Veils. Leopold Stokowski was ALWAYS striving for the best sound possible. He participated in some early experiments in stereo sound in 1932! There are two records that contain these recordings put out by Bell Labs in the late 1970's. At some point, I will offer these for sale.
This is a 1992 audiophile reissue of Everest SDBR- 3023. This record is pressed on 180 gram vinyl. Early Everest recordings are renowned for great sound. They were recorded with only three microphones. No mixing was involved. However, the original pressings were not great. They were hissy and the best vinyl was not used. DCC is well known for quality reissues. This LP has been in my smoke-free home for over 25 years.
