THE EVERLY BROTHERS – “THE EVERLY BROTHERS” (CLP-3003), A VG++ (EXC) FIRST PRESSING OF THEIR DEBUT ALBUM FROM 1958. THE ORIGINAL LOOSE BAGGY IS INCLUDED!
RECORD: VG++ (EXC) with very clean, glossy surfaces! There are just a small number of very light scuffs that would have very little, if any, effect on the audible performance. This original 1958 is The Everly Brothers debut album and is very rarely found in this lofty grade. The “Cadence” labels are very clean and original, showing just some light spindle marks. This album includes, on Side 1: This Little Girl of Mine; Maybe Tomorrow; Bye Bye Love; Brand New Heartache; Keep A Knockin'; Be Bop A-Lula. Side 2: I Wonder If I Care As Much; Wake Up Little Susie; Leave My Woman Alone; Should We Tell Him; Hey Doll Baby.virtually
COVER: VG++ (EXC) with virtually no ring wear on either side! The front is absolutely beautiful with a glossy finish. The spine as well as the upper and lower edges are fully legible, clean and solid! There is the beginning of a split to the upper right corner (open end), but it is very minor. A small amount of sticker residue is seen to the lower right corner on the front, probably from the original store price sticker. The original owner had written on the upper portion of the back side, "Poole" and "9-3-58" in blue ball-point pen. The original "loose baggy" that has held this album all of these years and protected it so well from ring wear is included (please see all photos)! My 10-year-old copy of “Goldmine Record Album Price Guide” (Popoff) shows a NM value of $100 on this scarce album. The original plastic inner sleeve is included.
