This is a 1969 1st U.S. Pressing of Led Zeppelin II And it is the legendary hot stamper Mastered by Robert Ludwig at Sterling sound. It has the RL initials in the narrow dead wax on side one and the RL initial in the narrow dead wax (along with the sterling sound etching) on side two.
The vinyl plays in EX Condition. Play-graded on the Linn LP12 with Lyra Kleos cartridge. This is a not a NM “forever” copy, but plays Better than any RL version of Led Zeppelin II I have ever heard. Has some marks and scuffs AND GRADES VG+ on visual inspection. Upon play-grading the marks do not create the degree of crackle you’d expect based on visual inspection.
The stereo sound stage is the absolute ultimate.
A cover / jacket in this quality is RARE. The jacket is EX With no ring wear and only extremely slight corner wear as shown. Has a bit of discoloration in the white area which is very common for this heavy cover. Overall a very nice package.
These are getting harder to find and commanding higher and higher prices.
Includes the original company inner and a MFSL SLEEVE. 1841 Broadway Atlantic labels.
I grade Conservatively according to goldmine standards. This is a true EX copy. Will be cleaned on the VPI before shipping.
This record is part of a collection of about 1000 records that I’m selling for my personal collection. Most of the collection is near mint NM vinyl. Rock ‘n’ roll, jazz, country and R&B Albums will all be included in this sale. Please send an email if you were looking for something specific. Thank you.
