Pressed in 1977 this Lp was released on the 23rd of January, featuring the now Iconic and now protected Battersea Power station stacks-with a pig flying between them...Once again a stand-out cover image by the legendary Hipgnosis.....Illustrating the scathing lyrics with which this album is peppered with, primarily against the social-political conditions of wracked and ruined late 1970's Britain.

The album reach the No. 2 position in the UK charts and the No. 3 position across the pond in the USA.

The Vinyl:

I gave her a gentle ultrasonic clean , followed by a gentle vacuum clean and then played both sides-at volume!

Superb slab of vinyl, providing clear audio-very crisp.

Only a few incredibly light marks to the vinyl, which really aren't worth mentioning, but thought I would, just incase people still believe I have a timemachine...I found 5 light pops at the start of track , side 2 and then just a few more light revolutionary pops which lasted for no more than 5 revolutions on one other section...That really is the only thing to mark her down as the audio was stunningly deep and crisp and even ;)...Really does go to show the Harry T Moss mastering at his best.

There is a very slight wobble to the vinyl-but this had zero effect on audio output on my Focus One deck.

She has only ever been played very carefully .

All original, with ROUNDED CORNERS and the catalogue number to the bottom right corner. With the lyrics printed on the black background.

One small split of 5cm to one side...other than that-perfect!

The Cover:

Gatefold cover with WIDESPINE. All I can find is one line of spidering (around 7cm) to the back panel...as well as a 4cm patch to the top of the spinewith wear but not all the way through, so is rather superficial.

VERY WELL LOOKED AFTER.

The inside is a very nice black and white, without any fading. There is a small patch to the top of each panel which appears it was stuck together at sometime.

The first gatefold is factory sealed with an internal flap. the other opening is crips and sharp, without excessive wear.
