Rolling Stones

Let It Bleed

MONO

VERY RARE 1969/70 Press

*With ORIGINAL credit inner too*

This is a fantastic example of The Stones with one of their best albums. Released in 1969, the record is peppered with hit tunes.

This was the first Stones label to transition to the boxed Decca logo in '69 and this labe didn't last many months at all....VERY RARE!

(Incredibly early for this very briefly lived label)

Vinyl:

Quality 150g

EX(+).

I have just given her a gentle vacuum clean, followed by an ultrasonic bath and then popped her onto my record deck-to listen to-all the way through, at high volume...

She plays all the way through with a quality deep, rich audio reproduction. There is barely any background noise to mention! There are just a couple of very light and very small insignificant marks to the vinyl, simply from removal and replacement from the inner. On playback, I noticed an edge bump when playing-I have included a video of the first track to show this had no bearing on playback-but it does require a slightly heavier arm setting, when I had mine on ultra light, then there were jumps, but on even just slightly heavier, this section played over without issue.

Certainly plays through WITHOUT jumps or skips and was a simple joy to listen to.

Quality HEAVY vinyl.

Labels:

Near Mint.

This label was one of the first when DECCA switched over to the boxed logo back at the end of 1969/start of 1970.

THE RAREITY OF THIS BEAUTY IS THE FACT IT WAS ONLY AROUND FOR A MATTER OF MONTHS DURING LATE '69-EARLY '70...FOLLOWING WHICH THIS TITLE WAS NOT TO HAVE ANOTHER REPRESS UNTIL 2016!

There are just a couple of insignificant light spindle marks, with zero central hole wear to speak of-please see the detailed images below.

Lovely deep red MONO labels (never shown properly when photographed with a flash :(

NO POSTER

Sleeve:

Near Mint.

Original hole at the back showing the buyer the Lp is either a mono or stereo copy inside.

Laminated front cover with just 1 small line of spidering to the laminate! Incredible!

The spine is perfectly legible.

The original poster sticker is in near perfect condition too.

WOULD FRAME INCREDIBLY WELL

NO Writing anywhere.

"Sleeve Printed In England" - The very 1st printing run here.

Did you know it was one of Deliah Smiths first jobs-to produce this cake for the front cover??!!

Inner:

Near Mint.

*Hard to say Near Mint for one of these ORIGINAL credit inners*

It is the ORIGINAL CREDIT DECCA, MONO inner with the red text and credits for each track.

*NO SPLITS*

It is, oddly, the very 1st printed inner as the The London Bach Choir is clearly credited and not blanked out as it was later.

Just some very light creasing-really has survived remarkably well.

Has certainly done her job by looking after the vinyl for all these years.

ALL IN ALL THIS IS AN UPGRADE TO ANY COLLECTION AND IS A COLLECTORS PIECE IN IT'S OWN RIGHT & WITH GREAT AUDIO TOO.

ON THE INCREDIBLY RARE AND SHORTLY LIVED BOXED DECCA LABEL IN MONO
