About This Record.  This is another cool LP from my collection, The Exceptionally HARD to find, original USA copy of Mc5's first LP from 1969 entitled Kick Out the Jams that was released on Elektra Records with the awesome gatefold cover and BANNED John Sinclair liner notes inside, and YES, this has the censored "Mother F****ers" intro to Kick Out the Jams).  Nice Red Label with Big E and "(Sun)" in the matrix trail off on each side.  Rare version and keeper copy.  It took me 22 years to find another nicer copy, and I hope eBay makes that task easier for you. 

What blows my mind is that I believe the Mc5 played at the 1968 Democratic National Convention for entertainment.  That was a year before they were outspoken, but I suspect that when McGovern did not win, they blamed it on the Mc5, but I am happy that Patti Smith found solace in their music as well.

Cover Condition: STRONG Excellent Minus (EX-) gatefold cover that has light corner wear, and light shelf wear; keeper copy for most sane folks.   Please see all the Photos I took. I didn't take them for fun and frolic.

Vinyl Condition: Excellent (EX).  Nice Copy. Please see the Photos!

Labels. Near Mint (NM) labels.  Please see photos of all labels.

Inserts: Comes with original Elektra Records factory orange/white paper inner sleeve (see photo), but no worries, the vinyl also comes hand-cleaned on my VPI record cleaning machine and in a new rice paper equivalent sleeve so the old Dust does not reattach!  Oh My Gosh!

Packaging.  I clean all vinyl on my V.P.I. Record Cleaning Machine and place it in a new innersleeve so the old dust does not reattach; but I also include the innersleeve that came with the LP if it is the original.  I separate the vinyl in its new sleeve after cleaning from the cover, and place the cover and the separately packed vinyl in at least one if not two plastic innersleeves that help protect against moisture damage during this cool records transition to your record collection.  I use sturdy carboard containers with real corners and pack with at least two insert stiffeners, and I place neon stickers on the front and back of the package indicating “Do Not Bend” and/or “Fragile” or something like that to help facilitate a safe passage.
