Description

THE EXKURSIONS -

(private; Stereo; 1971). RARE. (**Click on the pictures above for more info - *Double click for larger image**).

**This is an original (not a modern reissue) EX/NM vinyl copy of this in demand private power psych LP from Chicago, Illinois; with Xian/Jesus Music themes.

**NOTE: Only about 500 original copies were pressed in 1971; distributed only locally around northern Illinois by the band.

**NOTE: ACID ARCHIVES - 2nd Edition review by Patrick Lundborg: "Irresistible ... guitar psych ... featuring Mike Johnson as a bible carrying Hendrix epigone". ARCHIVIST - 4th Edition review by Ken Scott: "High-octane power trio ... absolutely blitzing through eight tunes of heavy ... influenced material in the vein of Hendrix and Cream ... production is top-notch ... guitars shine forth loud and mean, heavily imbrued with '60s psych effects ... wah-wah and fuzz effects abound, sometimes together ... solid drum work throughout ...the intensity doesn't let up ... great psychedelic cover art to match ... ".
