Description

EX/NM ELVIS PRESLEY, Stereo LP, 12”, Speedway, LSP-3989, 1968, RCA/Victor, Germany, (WPRS-1036/1037) including a duet with Nancy Sinatra and a Side-2 song by her alone. This fantastic quality LP is an Orange label, 1967, Pressed in Germany and a High Gloss Movie pictorial cover. This is a Nice, Clean, Solid Vinyl Record. We purchased it new and always kept it in a climate controlled, smoke-free environment and was handled and played by only knowledgeable, mature, and careful individuals.

"Speedway is the thirty-second album by Elvis Presley, released by RCA Victor in mono and stereo, LPM/LSP 3989, in May 1968 — the May 1 date is disputed. It serves as the soundtrack album for the 1968 Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Movie, Speedway, starring Elvis Presley. Recording sessions took place at MGM Studios in Hollywood, California, on June 20 and 21, 1967. It peaked at number 82 on the Billboard 200 that year."

Both Record Labels are in immaculate Near Mint condition, without any noticeable wear, discoloration, or spindle marks, but with discreet writing on the label border of Side-1.

Both sides of the LP are in beautiful NM condition, stunningly bright and glossy vinyl surfaces on both sides, without marks, scratches, scuffs and looks perfectly new.

The LP plays through all the tracks with a perfect sound quality: no pops, sticking, jumps, but with some slightly detectable crackle on headphones but not on my stereo speakers, from the same turntable source. The sound quality is simply great with no distortion and no groove wear, either. It comes in its original plain white inner sleeve which only has a few minor wrinkles at the corners.

The equally unique heavy gauge cover is on solid, flat NM condition, with discreet writing on the back side but has no other blemishes on the exteriors, front and back. It is fittingly, a beautiful sleeve with no spinal wear, rips, tears, splits, annotations, and no corner wear.  The opening edge is beautifully straight with barely any feathering.

I also have two other rare, vintage Elvis Presley LPs, “From Elvis in Memphis” and “Elvis’s Christmas Album”, from the same era and in the same condition, also up for sale, as shown in the last photo. If you’re interested in all of them, it would save shipping cost by combining the purchases.

All items are in excellent to mint condition unless stated otherwise.
