Description
This is a fine original U.S. pressing copy of the third LP by Bahamian folk artist and self-styled obeah man Exuma, released in 1971. Exuma's music features simple, catchy melodies with his rich, throaty vocals and acoustic guitar, augmented by various percussion and occasional horns (here, on the fine title track). Lyrically, many of his songs are informed by obeah, a loose West Indian collection of spiritual and physical healing practices derived from older African models. The textured unipak jacket has some mostly light wear along the spine, seam, and edges, and some light discoloration inside the cover -- EX(+). The disc is clean with a little light scuffing, and plays with occasional light surface noise (EX+). The record comes with a lyric insert (M-) and the original label inner sleeve.
I am in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs except where otherwise noted.
