Description
This is the rare UK pressing of this Dutch progressive band's first LP on the Nepentha label (6437004). This 1971 release was a musical masterpiece without one dud track. The artist Roger Dean's intriguing die-cut gimmix cover was unique to the UK pressing. The gatefold cover rates a VG (+) with moderate to heavy wear on the lower edge, some wear on the spine and light wear on the back (see scans). There is some scotch tape (about an inch and one half) on the front cover lower left at the bottom of the largest die cut. The labels have some faint spindle marks. The thickly pressed vinyl is a conservative VG++ with some faint wispy hairlines which can barely be seen under a strong light source. These do not affect play. In fact...this is a great playing copy. I gave it a spin tonight on my Linn Sondek with a brand new Adikt cartridge, and I was very impressed with the dynamics and pressing quality.
