Quite a rarity these days, this album closely resembles the highly sought after Eron releases such as Shepway Folk and Folk In Sandwich boasting acts whose own albums sell for quite a lot (Silver Birch and The Galley) This record mixes traditional and contemporary folk songs which make for a great album.
The sleeve was produced in a thin style and therefore has no spine to speak of (see photo)
There is a small split on the bottom right hand corner and some staining on the left side of the rear sleeve (see photos). Graded between VG and VG+
The record is very thick sturdy vinyl.
There are some hairlines marks on side A but you really have to look, and a couple on Side B.
There is surface noise apparent at times particularly in quiter moments and on the first tracks on each side (Ranters Wharf and Flowers Of The Forest) but these are the odd pop or crackle and are without any consistency.
They in no way detract from the music which sounds very clear.
As a result I have graded this between VG and VG+ to give an idea but the quality veers more towards VG+. (trying to be as honest and precise as possible)
It is a fine and varied record with interesting original songs and crystal clear voices. Worthy of any true folk collection.
