Description
Easton Clarke - Bike No License / Version - Micron Music Limited (1975)
More Black Ark treasures, this really is a great tune, Easton telling his story about his bike journey with his bag o weed and lack of a bike license, that ends up with him staring through the Po Lice cell, classic stuff, the Dub side gets the Perry treatment once again.
As with many pressings on the Micron label this one has a few erm.. imperfections, bubbles and a smudge mark in first third of A side, other than those the record is in EX and plays as such, where the smudge is you can detect a small amount of background if you listen to the clip , but overall it plays really well.
Small WOL both sides - intitals in biro (see photo).
I've been a collector of records for 25 years, and mainly reggae & soul over the last 15 years, I've also sold many rare and collectable Reggae & related, Northern Soul and other records, I grade according to the Record Collector Price Guide system, and have never had a problem in the past with my grading standards. I tend to err on the side of caution, but its best if you listen to the soundclip and make your own opinion, the clips are recorded directly with Audacity from my stereo with an SL1210 which just has a generic cartridge and needle in at the moment, so its basic but unadjusted.
Here it is again :
