Eddie Cochran Memorial Album lp 1st Issue GREAT PRESS [Ex/Vg+] SUPERB***

Description

An original late 1st issue of MA from summer '61...12 months past his death [whilst still charting!]. Note there were many reissues...but PLUM London this is technical 1st issue after his passing. Genuine '61 and that is a hard find in decent condition. Please note the vinyl comes housed in an original cover dated to '61. And another signifier that you're dealing with the original copy is the early copies do NOT mention Memorial Album in large red letters on the front. So there's no swapping - this is all correct to the time of release. Also...take a good look at other originals on line (the cover) and then come back and look at this one. There's also the original inner too. So, 100% genuine 100% complete. A magnificent Xmas present if ever there was one!!
Vinyl (Ex/Vg+) In lovely condition and has only seen reasonably light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a few very light marks per side - nothing heavy or troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with a couple deviations. Don't be thinking all '61 copies are gonna play like this. Often the popular numbers...and dang>>they were popular!...get battered. BUT NOT HERE!  Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. For the vintage - very impressive. The only tracks where there's a bit of background is during 'Let Me Go'/ 'Boll Weevi'/Remember - nothing bad. but these are not playing as clean as elsewhere on the LP.  But Eddie was a genuine genius...and you only need to listen to 5 mins of this Lp to realise you are listening to one of the greats. Absolutely superb!
Cover (Vg+) In nice shape for the vintage and lets not forget its 63 years of age! Most original copies are wrecked...very occasionally one has passed through space and time in decent condition. Front looks great creasing top left and light ageing. Rear has avoided the worst of the ageing...but it is apparent on flips. Also a bit of low level staining over in the top left....is not that noticeable. Lovely clean surfaces with only minor wear. Not much wear at  on edges either.  Spine is 98% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner [Vg+] Excellent with no splits.
