Description

Black label with silver text "DOT" logo in 3 colors. Deep groove, original. Leader, Eddie Costa, piano; Wendell Marshall, bass; Paul Motian, drums. Recorded in NY in 1959. 6 tracks.

Cover: VG+  Intact and clean. Very light aging on the back cover. Fine condition. White spot near the edge of the lantern is from the camera flash.

Record: VG++ to Mint(-)  Visually shows no wear. 1 surface rub mark on Side 1, 3 small rub marks on Side 2. Played only a few times with care.  Side 1, Track 1, 1 click near the beginning of the Track followed by 2 faint clicks, barely audible, slightly further along the Track. 2 or 3 equally faint clicks past mid Track and 1 slightly more audible click. Slight groove noise on the last 2 or 3 revolutions. Track 2, faint groove noise on the first 3 or 4 revolutions, barely audible. 1 light click near the end of the Track with slight groove noise for 2 or 3 revolutions. Groove noise on the last 2 or 3 revolutions on Track 2. Side 2, Track 1, slight groove noise on the first 1 or 2 revolutions. Faint groove noise on the last 2 or 3 revolutions. Track 2, faint groove noise on the first 4 or 5 revolutions. This noise reoccurs for a few revolutions further along the Track  with some additional light groove noise near mid Track and for several revolutions at the end of the Track.  Track 3 has light groove noise on the last 1 or 2 revolutions. Overall, the groove noise is slight, mainly only faintly audible as described. It would seem that this light noise is in the pressing. In most places it is only barely audible. Fine overall quality.
