"The Hawg" Part 2
Northern Soul...Funk...R&B
Very rare record
COOL STUFF!!!
Labels are in nice condition
Grades a VG+
there are definite visible marks and even a bulge
in this record, but I have played it and it plays through
with minimal noise and NO skipping...
It sounds fine!!
Record Grading Guidelines:
GRADING THE VINYL RECORD ITSELF:
M: Mint= Only used for perfect, unopened records.
NM: Near Mint= Almost like new, very few things wrong. Perhaps some superficial sleeve marks, and very superficial slight surface abrasions that would not effect play. These would be generally undetectable using the 100 watt bulb method of visually inspecting the record.
EX: Excellent= Almost NM, may have some slight sleeve scuffs and hairline scratches. Should play without any noise.
VG++: Very Good++=, Could have several light scratches or sleeve marks, but nothing deep or nasty. When played you will hear some evidence of these marks by way of background noise.
VG+: Very Good+= May have quite a few scratches and scuffs. This record has been well-used and played frequently. It will probably exhibit some popping when played.
VG: Very Good= Very good indeed does not mean 'very good'. It is a record that has been around and is in rough condition. Could have some deep scratches or scuffs and will not only exhibit some popping, it will probably skip. Only very rare records in this condition would be wanted by anyone.
GRADING THE SLEEVE OR ALBUM COVER:
M: Mint= perfect, still sealed, no problems.
NM: Near Mint= Virtually new, no problems, hardly anything wrong with this sleeve or cover.
EX: Excellent= Very little wrong still. pehaps a tiny seam split or some minor creases or very light scratches; should still have much of its original gloss.
VG++: Very Good++= Could have a larger seam split, and probably has some shelf wear, maybe a little writng or initials, a sticker or very small tear.
VG+: Very Good+= Perhaps some larger seam splits, heavy wear, some tears, stain or other very obvious flaws. This sleeve or cover has been around the block. It is still collectible, but pretty rough.
VG: Very Good= Not 'very good' condition. Quite beat up. Generally would only be collectible if it is a very rare record.
