This is a blast from the past – a souvenir from the US Naval Station in Subic Bay, Philippines. These are 2 parody songs done by a local Philippine band named Eddie Tallada & Company, self-released and sold to Navy servicemen stationed in the area. They are sung to the tunes of “Ballad of the Green Berets”, and “Shame & Scandal In The Family”, and are raunchy tales of sailor bliss. Extremely unique, and I know many US sailors probably know the ballad by heart. This is from my father’s collection, and he bought this in the Philippines at Subic in the late 60s. A very scarce piece of Vietnam-era naval humor.

The record grades to VG, with some surface marks, but no deep scratches and no skips. The labels are bright and crisp with very little wear.

Grading is done according to the Goldmine Grading Standards using the following scale: Mint/NM/VG/G/P with the appropriate + or - to further describe the condition. “Mint” is essentially new, and “Poor” is essentially unplayable. I do not use ‘Excellent’ in my grading model because Goldmine doesn’t use it, and it has no standard meaning. I have 19 years of experience with the Goldmine system, and grade conservatively so you’ll have no surprises.
