Description
Edgar Broughton Band – Oora Harvest SHVL 810 UK 1st press Vinyl, LP, housed in a gate-fold cardboard sleeve, which is, in turn, inside a printed plastic bag. The LP was released in May 1973.
The vinyl has a couple of surface scuffs but nothing that interferes with the music - no stick or jump. The gate-fold cardboard cover is in lovely condition, with no obvious signs of use or wear. The printed inner sleeve has a rip along the bottom seam as well as some ring-wear. The whole thing is housed in a printed plastic bag which has some creasing at the top opening but which is otherwise in good condition, no rips or writing. Oora is the Edgar Broughton Band's fifth album, first released in 1973. It was the Broughtons' last album for Harvest Records.
The original vinyl album came in an elaborate package, with a conventional gatefold album jacket enclosed in a transparent vinyl sleeve printed with the group's name and band pictures.
lpcdreissues review "The Broughtons' fifth album has never been as well-regarded as its predecessors, although that has more to do with timing (the album appeared in '73) than with the record itself. Indeed, the sheer diversity of 'Oora' flies defiantly in the face of anybody hoping to pigeonhole the band with its past reputation, as 'Oora' reveals a tight, concise, and extraordinarily melodic band whose members had clearly been listening to Neil Young as much as the Mothers of Invention, and weren't afraid to prove it. Must be good!"
