Fantastic condition for it's age, and an all time classic debut.
I have played this album from start to finish on my Linn Sondek LP12 deck, and can report that it sounds simply stunning.
Just a few dust pops, which I'm sure will disappear after a good disc cleaning.
I would normally give it a run through on my Spin Clean MK II Record Washer, but it's unfortunately out of action.
No scratches or jumps.
Thick, heavy vinyl, with a lovely glossy sheen.
Spindle wear is visible under bright light, and more prominent on side 1, but nothing major.
The label on side 1 is a bit of a mystery, as it has a small, round, orange sticker as seen on the main photo.
I've seen a few first pressings of this album, but I've never seen one with this sticker.
I'm assured that it came like this on the day of purchase.
Is it some kind of promo mark?........If anybody can shed light on this, then please get in touch.
The sticker looks easily removable, without damaging the label.
The sleeve has a few creases, and some bubbling of the laminate (as seen in two of the pictures).
The spine is as new, with no creasing or scuffing.
Using the Record Collector grading system, I'd grade this as Excellent overall.
All my items are packaged to a very high level.
Bubbled wrapped, with cardboard dividers between sleeve & Record, and strong, sturdy boxes are used.
