Edison DD #51661 "FIVE FOOT TWO EYES OF BLUE" Fox Trot GOLDEN GATE ORCHESTRA.
Flip side is "CLAP HANDS! HERE COMES CHARLEY!" Fox Trot.
Both sides play fine on my modern turntable with light weight tonearm. Both sides have scratches, scuffs and play wear. "Charley" side has one tiny dig near the beginning of play that clicks lightly for a few seconds and there is a very lightly stressed groove about halfway through play that makes a light hiss for about 3 seconds. Again, both sides played very well for me.
Both sides feature fantastic early hot jazz/dance from the 20's from probably the finest orchestra that recorded for Edison.
The "Charley" side features a Bass Sax solo by the great Adrian Rollini that is simply breath taking. Every time I listen to this side I'm amazed at how great this Orchestra was.
Both sides appear to have new labels copied from originals.
